This Tuesday, Paris Saint-Germain (25th) take on RB Salzburg (32nd) at the Red Bull Arena for Matchday 6 of the Champions League 2024-2025 league phase (kick-off 9pm, broadcast on Canal+ in France). Paris coach Luis Enrique must choose his starting 11, taking into account the opponent, upcoming matches and suspension risks, after having formed the Parisian squad for this match.
PSG have to contend with Ousmane Dembélé’s suspension and Presnel Kimpembe’s long-standing injury, but are almost at full strength. There’s even the return of Lucas Hernandez, although his playing time will probably be very limited at best.
In any case, Luis Enrique will no doubt field the team he considers the best for this match. The match against Lyon on Sunday (Ligue 1 matchday 15) is an important one, but this evening is decisive in the Champions League and obviously the priority. We’re generally confident about the team, given their recent performances, but there are still a few uncertainties.
For example: will Bradley Barcola be able to continue despite his difficult period? Could Fabian Ruiz be in the starting line-up after his improved performance against Auxerre?
Possible line-up:
Barcola – Ramos – Lee
Neves – Vitinha – Zaïre-Emery
Mendes – Pacho – Marquinhos – Hakimi
Donnarumma.
Substitutes – Safonov, Tenas, Beraldo, Hernandez, Skriniar, Zague, Ruiz, Asensio, Doué, Kolo Muani, Mbaye.
Out – Kimpembe (reprise), Dembélé (suspendu), El Hannach, Mayulu (choix).
Suspension in case of a yellow card: Fabian Ruiz, Nuno Mendes.
This would be effective against Manchester City on Matchday 7 of the Champions League on January 22.
