On Thursday, Paris Saint-Germain issued a brief official statement announcing a rest period for two of its players. Ousmane Dembélé (a 29-year-old forward for the French national team) and Nuno Mendes (a 24-year-old Portuguese left-back) will resume training later than the rest of the squad following the international break.
In agreement with the head coach and the sporting management, Ousmane Dembélé and Nuno Mendes have been granted a rest period. They will resume training on Saturday, October 10, and Sunday, October 11, respectively.
There is no particular cause for concern, but both players saw significant action during the international break and have experienced some muscle issues in recent months. It makes sense to be cautious with players whose game relies heavily on explosiveness.
Consequently, Dembélé and Mendes will miss this Saturday’s home match against Le Mans in Matchday 6 of the 2026-2027 Ligue 1 season (kick-off at 8:45 PM, broadcast on Ligue1+). They are expected to be ready for the match against Manchester City next Wednesday (Champions League Matchday 2).
