This week saw the 4th round of the 2026-2027 Champions League league phase take place. In conjunction with this, UEFA organized various fan polls. Paris Saint-Germain, who secured a 0-6 victory against Villarreal at the Estadio de la Cerámica this Tuesday, have one players named in UEFA’s Team of the Week: 30-year-old midfielder Fabián Ruiz.

Having been nominated for the Player of the Week award, it comes as no surprise to see Ruiz included in this side. He delivered a complete performance, highlighted by his two goals. Surprisingly, no other PSG player made the cut, despite the 0-6 scoreline.
It is worth noting, however, that the competition is incredibly fierce, and the selection process aims to recognize a diverse range of players—not to mention that the opponent was not among Europe’s elite. Similarly, Como only had one player selected, despite their 1-9 win away at Lens. Ultimately, the Team of the Week is composed exclusively of top-tier talent.
