Gianluigi Donnarumma, the 26-year-old goalkeeper who joined Paris Saint-Germain in 2021 on a contract running until 2026 (following the end of his tenure at AC Milan), has been at the heart of rumours in recent weeks. There are doubts about an extension, despite the desire expressed by the Italian and his agent Enzo Raiola. Journalist Gianluigi Di Marzio claims that negotiations are progressing.
“There has been progress on the renewal of his contract (which currently expires in June 2026): contacts and positive signals, but the parties still need to discuss.”
Nothing set in stone yet, but something positive nonetheless. For some time now, Donnarumma’s extension at PSG has been the most likely outcome, and this is confirmed by a series of statements. Even if there have been rumours of a departure.
We’re still waiting for certainties, though, as there are sometimes surprises and stumbling blocks. But the mood is optimistic.
