Warren Zaïre-Emery, Paris Saint-Germain’s 18-year-old midfielder, suffered an ankle injury towards the end of their 1-4 victory over Stuttgart in the Champions League on Wednesday evening (Matchday 8). Early indications are not encouraging.
“According to our information, Warren Zaïre-Emery has injured his ankle and will undergo further tests tomorrow. Pessimism among the Parisian staff in the aftermath of the match.
We mustn’t be too quick to panic, as there are sometimes pleasant surprises to be had with a little rest. However, it’s also logical to worry about an important player who could miss a few busy weeks. We’ll need every ounce of strength we can muster to get through to the end, while still being in contention in all competitions. Let’s hope the news is good for Zaire-Emery.
