Having arrived from Inter Milan in the summer of 2023, 29-year-old defender Milan Skriniar has failed to find his place at Paris Saint-Germain. So there was soon talk of a departure. The move to Fenerbahçe was announced this winter. The transfer is on loan until the end of the season.
Skriniar got some playing time last season, but without fully convincing. Hampered by injuries, including a back problem that occurred after he signed from Inter Milan, the Slovakian was unable to make his mark and was eventually largely overtaken by the competition.
It was time for a new lease of life, and it’s good to have found this interesting way out. Fenerbahçe is an ambitious club, with great things to play for. Of course, we wish Skriniar every success.
