On Monday evening, the Ballon d’Or Africain 2024 was awarded. Achraf Hakimi, 26-year-old right-back for Paris Saint-Germain and Morocco, was one of the nominees. But he bowed out. Ademola Lookman, 27-year-old striker for Atalanta and Nigeria, won the trophy.
It’s a disappointment for Hakimi, who had a very good year. But the competition was very strong, including Lookman. The latter, who notably won the Europa League with a hat-trick in the final, well deserves his title. Well done to him!
