This Wednesday, Paris Saint-Germain (2nd) face FC Barcelona (12th) at the Estadi Olímpic Lluís Companys (Montjuïc) as part of the second matchday of the 2025–2026 Champions League group stage (kick-off at 9 p.m., CET). On Sunday, Le Parisien already put forward a likely starting eleven for PSG:
Barcola – Mayulu – Lee
Ruiz – Vitinha – Zaïre-Emery
Mendes – Pacho – Zabarnyi – Hakimi
Chevalier
It’s a realistic line-up, with Vitinha potentially available despite a minor scare on Saturday against Toulouse. The feeling is that it was mostly precautionary and that he should be ready, although Monday’s medical tests will give more clarity. The same goes for Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, whose issue appeared more serious.
Up front, Senny Mayulu is a genuine option as Gonçalo Ramos has been struggling to convince. Still, Ramos hasn’t been ruled out. Mayulu being substituted in the 60th minute on Saturday suggests he may have been preserved with Barcelona in mind. He could also feature in midfield, where the return of João Neves is also awaited.
In any case, it’s still too early for certainties about the team sheet, as the squad situation remains somewhat unclear.
