This Tuesday, during Matchday 3 of the 2025-2026 Champions League, Paris Saint-Germain faced Bayer Leverkusen at the BayArena. After a match in which the Red and Blue largely dominated, they won 2-7. Here are our ratings for the Parisians.
Goalkeeper –
Lucas Chevalier (6) – Suffice it to say, he didn’t have to make any saves in the first half. On the first penalty, he dived perfectly, and on the second, he was powerless. On Bayer’s second goal, he was absolutely powerless.
Defenders –
Achraf Hakimi (6) – A decent first half, without any brilliance. He played high up the pitch, he played his game, calmly.
Ilya Zabarnyi (1) – His performance was disastrous. Yellow card, red card, he conceded both penalties. It’s up to him to regroup.
Willian Pacho (7) – He scored the first goal, he was solid on the line. He doesn’t bother with the ball when it’s dangerous. A great second half from the boss.
Nuno Mendes (7) – An interesting first half at times. He didn’t push the ball. He still provided the assist for Pacho’s goal, a pinpoint cross. A scorer in the second half, he started to press to break down this dying German team.
Midfielders –
Warren Zaïre-Emery (6.5) – In his current form, aggressive, attentive, and powerful. Another good match for him in midfield. Replaced by Quentin Ndjantou in the 76th minute.
Vitinha (8) – He had a surprisingly average first half. That’s the impression, but in reality, he shone, as always, winning all his duels and playing with ease. He capped PSG’s near-perfect performance with a goal, just like he knows how to do.
Senny Mayulu (6) – He’s really starting to find his place in this team. His presence is no longer “weird,” as he demonstrated again this Tuesday evening. Replaced by Lee Kang-in in the 63rd minute.
Forwards –
Khvicha Kvaratskhelia (6.5) – He doesn’t always make the right choices, but he always plays to hurt the opponent. His goal paid off for his boundless opportunism. Replaced by Ousmane Dembélé in the 63rd minute.
Bradley Barcola (6) – A decent half, he was somewhat overshadowed by his attacking counterparts. He wasn’t able to cause any damage with his usual pace. He still provided a nice assist for Dembélé on his return. Replaced in the 72nd minute by Ibrahim Mbaye.
Désiré Doué (8) – What can we say about Doué? He’s had an exceptional rise. His brace shows how much he’s become a player who can change any match. The opponent can’t be confident with a player like him around. Substituted at halftime by Lucas Hernandez (6.5) – Solid, his return is confirmed with each appearance. He’s playing more, and it shows in his confidence.
Coach –
Luis Enrique (7) – We didn’t like the down moments in Paris’s first half, but neither did he. However, far from being discouraged by all his mistakes, his team is constantly and aggressively returning to work to resume their march forward.
