Bayern Munich will face Paris Saint-Germain in the 2025-2026 Champions League semi-final (April 28 at the Parc des Princes and May 6 at the Allianz Arena). We will therefore be keeping a close eye on the German team’s performance leading up to the second leg. This Saturday, May 2, Bayern hosted Heidenheim (18th before the match) in the 32nd round of Bundesliga fixtures.
Bayern’s lineup:

Musiala – Goretzka – Laimer
Ndiaye – Pavlovic
Ito – Tah – Kim – Stanisic

With a heavily rotated lineup, Bayern Munich were caught off guard early in the match and trailed 0-2 after 30 minutes. Fortunately, the Bavarians responded just before halftime (Leon Goretzka), bringing on regular starters Harry Kane, Michael Olise, Luis Diaz, and Joshua Kimmich. This helped them secure the equalizer, with Olise providing the assist for Goretzka.
Bayern dominated, but their performance wasn’t flawless: Heidenheim regained the lead in the 76th minute. The already-crowned champions, however, found the resources to avoid defeat, conceding an own goal in the 11th minute of stoppage time. A major blow for Heidenheim in the fight to avoid relegation.
