On Wednesday evening, Paris Saint-Germain drew 1-1 and qualified (5-6 on aggregate) against Bayern Munich in the second leg of their 2025-2026 Champions League semi-final at the Allianz Arena. Here are the highs and lows of this qualification.

Highs –

❤️ Qualification for the final.

This cannot be overlooked, as it is a major achievement. It’s the second time in a row they’ve reached the final, eliminating a very strong team. There was suffering, and that’s to be expected. Paris also displayed great strength in their hopes of winning the title again.

Defensive strength.

We all enjoyed the spectacle in the first leg, but this time PSG prioritized keeping Bayern frustrated. This prevented them from igniting the stadium and the match with a goal. Even though Bayern Munich had chances, which is to be expected given their attacking prowess, they were far less frequent, and Paris held firm for much of the match. They also looked dangerous at times, unfortunately running into a superb Manuel Neuer.

Willian Pacho.

In a more solid PSG side this time, Willian Pacho was particularly impressive. The 24-year-old defender was imperious and further cemented his place among the best.

Warren Zaïre-Emery.

The 20-year-old midfielder, or rather right-back, was a question mark for this semi-final. But he confirmed his versatility and that last year’s doubts are a thing of the past. The young Parisian isn’t afraid of these big occasions and has a long and illustrious career ahead of him.

Khvicha Kvaratskhelia.

Once again decisive, once again tireless in his efforts, once again magical at times, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia further confirms that he is a benchmark in his position. The 25-year-old striker is a real asset for PSG, even if he could have scored from one of his trademark chances, but was a bit clumsy at the end.

Flops –

😡None.

It wasn’t all perfect, but it was a tremendous collective performance in Munich.
