Paris Saint-Germain drew 1-1 against Bayern Munich and qualified (5-6 on aggregate) this Wednesday at the Allianz Arena for the second leg of their 2025-2026 Champions League semi-final (final on May 30 against Arsenal). After this qualification, PSG coach Luis Enrique spoke to Canal+.
Luis Enrique: “This shows what kind of team we are.”
Do you like this stadium?
We’re at home, we’re at home (laughs). We’re happy. Clearly, we’re happy.
Very few clubs have achieved this in their history?
The life of a coach and a player is very difficult, because we have to celebrate tonight but we also have to think about the final. There are no easy finals, but we’re very happy. We deserve it because this year has been special. We couldn’t field the same team in the Champions League as last year; we couldn’t play with those same 11 players. But it shows the type of players we have and the type of team we are.
Luis Enrique: “This is a moment to share with all Parisians.”
Do you consider your team to be more complete this season?
I think we showed maturity today; we knew how to defend and how to attack. You can appreciate the mentality we have, and as a coach, this type of performance is a real pleasure. When you see what the fans give us, it’s incredible; it’s a moment to share with all Parisians. We would love to win our second consecutive Champions League title, but it will be very difficult. We have the ambition.
