Day 3 of the Champions League 2024-2025 league phase was played this week. UEFA then organizes various fan votes. Paris Saint-Germain, who drew with PSV Eindhoven at the Parc des Princes (1-1), had no player in contention for the Champions League Player of the Year award. The competition was between Takumi Minamino (29-year-old AS Monaco striker), Vinicius Junior (24-year-old Real Madrid striker), Raphinha (27-year-old FC Barcelona striker) and Tijani Reijnders (26-year-old AC Milan attacking midfielder). The Madrid player came out on top.

2nd: Raphinha

4th: Tijjani Reijnders

A well-deserved success for a player who scored a hat-trick to reward his very interesting performance, with some fine goals to boot. Hard to beat him then, even if Raphinha was a superb competitor, also scoring 3 goals.

We’re delighted to see another Ligue 1 player in the squad, as on Matchday 2. Even if we’d also like to find a Parisian, at least it’s a reminder that this championship isn’t so bad.
