Day 8 of the Champions League 2024-2025 league phase was played this week. UEFA is organizing a series of fan votes. Paris Saint-Germain, who won at the Mercedes-Benz Arena on Wednesday against Stuttgart (1-4, video highlights Stuttgart/PSG), has one player selected in UEFA’s Team of the Week: 27-year-old striker Ousmane Dembélé.
A logical presence, given that Dembélé is among the 4 best players of the week. His hat-trick made it hard to miss. But you’d expect to see other Parisians, like Bradley Barcola (22-year-old striker with a goal and an assist) or Vitinha (24-year-old midfielder).
But this is a competition with a very high standard at every point, so we also have to accept that other players have been able to shine. So much the better, as it makes the whole thing more interesting and spectacular.
