This week saw the return legs of the Champions League 2024-2025 Round of 8. As a result, UEFA is organizing a series of fan votes. Paris Saint-Germain, who lost to Liverpool at Anfield on Tuesday (0-1, Liverpool/PSG video highlights), has 2 players selected in UEFA’s Team of the Week.
Gianluigi Donnarumma (26-year-old goalkeeper) and Nuno Mendes (22-year-old left-back) are both in the team of the tournament. The former made a number of important saves and aerial sorties before stopping 2 shots on goal, while the latter was again very solid against Mohamed Salah (32-year-old striker). We were expecting to see him last week.
Others could perhaps have been present, such as central defender Marquinhos (30) and Willian Pacho (23). But, as always in this competition, the competition is fierce.
