This week saw the first leg of the Champions League 2024-2025 semi-finals. UEFA then organized a series of fan votes. Paris Saint-Germain, who beat Arsenal 0-1 at Emirates Stadium on Wednesday, have 4 players selected in UEFA’s Team of the Week.
Gianluigi Donnarumma (26-year-old goalkeeper), Marquinhos (30-year-old defender and captain), Vitinha (25-year-old midfielder) and Ousmane Dembélé (27-year-old striker) are no surprises in this standard team. They were essential links in a fine collective victory.
Although there were other candidates, such as Nuno Mendes (22-year-old left-back), Fabian Ruiz (29-year-old midfielder) and João Neves (20-year-old midfielder). But everyone has their own footballing sensibility, and the choices are very difficult.
