Day 6 of the Champions League 2024-2025 group stage was played this week (find all the results here). UEFA then organizes various fan votes. Paris Saint-Germain, who won at the Red Bull Arena on Tuesday against RB Salzburg, is not among the nominees for Player of the Week. The competition is between Michael Olise (23-year-old Bayern Munich striker), Marco Bizot (33-year-old Brest goalkeeper), Antoine Griezmann (33-year-old Atlético Madrid striker) and Bukayo Saka (23-year-old Arsenal winger).
It’s hardly surprising that PSG are absent, since their victory didn’t exactly leave a lasting impression, even if it did feel good. Competition is always tough in this competition. But we’re delighted to note the presence of Ligue 1 thanks to Bizot. What’s more, he’s a goalkeeper in contention for the title of best player, a rare occurrence.
