This week saw the return play-offs for the Champions League 2024-2025 (all results here). UEFA then organized a series of fan votes. Paris Saint-Germain, who beat Brest at the Parc des Princes today (7-0, video highlights PSG/Brest, 10-0 overall), is among the nominees for player of the week. The competition is between Vitinha (24-year-old Parisian midfielder), Kylian Mbappé (26-year-old Real Madrid striker), Orkun Kökçü (24-year-old Benfica midfielder) and Noa Lang (25-year-old PSV Eindhoven winger).
Vitinha’s presence is rather logical given his mastery of the midfield, with a fine goal to reward him. But it seems almost impossible for him to win this honorary title, and the same goes for Lang and Kökçü, despite their fine performances, in the face of Mbappé’s hat-trick against Manchester City. Even if there are occasional surprises.
