After winning the 2025 Ballon d’Or, Ousmane Dembélé, the 28-year-old Paris Saint-Germain striker, has just received the FIFA The Best award for best player. Following this success, the Parisian forward shared his first words.

“I wanted to thank all my teammates. Hard work pays off. I thank my family, PSG, with whom we had a fantastic year. Thank you to Gianni Infantino, I received your message on my birthday. I hope to come back again next year.”

This is a logical distinction for the player who contributed to the capital club’s first Champions League victory. Whether offensively or defensively, he has been an example of selflessness and has always fought for the team.

This trophy also recognizes the player’s team spirit. Because beyond goals, assists, and technical skills, this collective aspect is also truly important. Ousmane Dembélé is indeed the best player, but by putting his talents at the service of the team and without his personal thirst for glory stifling him.
