While the Ballon d’Or is themain focus of attention and debate, a number of other awards will be presented in the coming months in connection with 2024. These include the Globe Soccer Awards, organized by the European Club Association and the European Association of Players’ Agents. On Thursday, the nominees in the various categories were announced for the awards ceremony to be held on December 27 in Dubai. Paris Saint-Germain has several representatives in the various categories, notably as a club and as sporting director with Luis Campos. See all the nominees below:

Best Coach: Luis Enrique
Best Midfielder: Vitinha
Best emerging player : Désiré Doué and João Neves
Best sporting director: Luís Campos
It’s interesting to see PSG present in so many areas, even if we continue to attach less importance to these individual and media awards in a sport that is above all collective. But it’s certainly a sign of the quality of the squad, and not to be overlooked.
As for Luis Campos, his appointment may come as a surprise given that he is so often criticized. But perhaps it’s a reminder that he’s not doing such a bad job, and that the balance sheet could even be positive. Some people find this very hard to accept, so we prefer to let the season and the project move forward.
