The Paris Saint-Germain team has seen the vast majority of its players take off with their national teams. Few players remain in training, but some good news has emerged in recent hours, as reported by L’Équipe. Presnel Kimpembe, 29, Lucas Hernandez, 28, and Gonçalo Ramos, 22, will be training with the Parisian club’s Espoir team over the break. Good news for these three key players, as their return to action draws ever closer.
“ Hernandez has already been part of this team from time to time”.
“Presnel Kimpembe, Lucas Hernandez and Gonçalo Ramos, PSG’s long-standing injury victims, will take advantage of this international week, when the vast majority of their team-mates are on international duty (with the exception of Tenas, Safonov, Asensio, Beraldo and the injured Dembélé), to train with the club’s reserve team, led by David Suarez and Nicolas Damont. Hernandez has already joined the team from time to time, and his presence has been much appreciated by the youngsters.
It’s great news to see these three players back (or almost). While we know that Lucas Hernandez still has a few weeks to go, for the other two, the return has never been so close. PSG will soon be able to count on them, and that’s a major advantage in the battles that lie ahead.
However, Kimpembe has been injured for around two years, and his comeback will come in stages. As for Ramos, although his injury is more recent, he hasn’t played for almost three months, so he too will have to step up his game.
As for Hernandez, with another serious knee injury, his return is expected, but doubts will continue to exist as to his ability to overcome this ordeal.
