As it does after each round of league matches, L’Équipe has drawn up its squad list for the 11th day of Ligue 1 2024-2025, which was played over the weekend (find results and standings here). With their 2-4 victory over Angers (video summary Angers/PSG) at the Stade Raymond Kopa, Paris Saint-Germain saw 2 of their players selected: Lee Kang-In (23-year-old midfielder/striker) and Bradley Barcola (22-year-old striker).
With 2 goals apiece and an assist to add to Lee’s tally, you’d expect to see these two Parisians in the team of the tournament. Hard not to select them. Marco Asensio (28-year-old striker/midfielder) came as a bit of a surprise, providing 3 assists in a very active match.
But the sports paper chose to highlight other Ligue 1 players. At the very least, it’s good to see that the league has some fine qualities and that there’s competition, despite what some people think.
