This Friday, May 8th, Paris Saint-Germain has a small event to celebrate while still savoring their qualification for the 2025-2026 Champions League final (May 30th against Arsenal). It’s the birthday of manager Luis Enrique, who turns 56 today.

Arriving in 2023 with a renewed project, Luis Enrique initially faced criticism and skepticism regarding his ability to lead the team to the expected level. This was compounded by questions surrounding the transfer window, as well as the 2024 transfer window. However, the change in mentality and playing style was quickly evident and very promising.
Since last season, he has won everyone over, both in his management of the squad and the quality of his team’s performances. One could even say they are stronger than anticipated. PSG, the reigning European champions, will fight to retain their title at the end of the month. Before then, they must secure the Ligue 1 title. All this after a season without any possibility of preseason training. Once again, Luis Enrique and his staff have been impressive in their management of the season.
For now, we simply wish him a happy birthday and continued success at PSG.
