This Thursday, Equipe de France will play in the Nations League against Israel at 8:45pm at the Boszik Arena (Hungary). The match will involve 4 Paris Saint-Germain players. 4 on the French side: Warren Zaïre-Emery, Ousmane Dembélé, Randal Kolo Muani, Bradley Barcola. With 2 days to go before the match, the latter did not take part in the collective session, according to L’Equipe.
“A session without Bradley Barcola (in the gym and receiving treatment for knocks received against Nice), nor Marcus Thuram (running with a physio), but with Wesley Fofana, whose tests on Monday evening were very reassuring.
After a warm-up, Les Bleus carried out a tactical exercise with dummies positioned in a similar way to the system they were likely to use against Israel on Thursday.
The exercise was designed to enable the players to start from the back, move the ball around and then work on their finishing.”
Barcola is not yet out for this match, as there’s still one training session left and he won’t have been out for long if he’s ready. He may simply have been spared the time needed to recover from the knocks mentioned.
However, it’s quite possible that, as a precaution, he won’t play in this first Equipe de France match and will wait until Monday for the one against Belgium.
Let’s wait and see what happens, but there are enough players in the squad not to take any risks.
