The Parc des Princes is Paris Saint-Germain’s stadium (at least in sporting terms), but officially it belongs to the city of Paris. The latter doesn’t want to sell, so Nasser Al-Khelaïfi wants to build a stadium that will belong to them. In Le Parisien, Jean-Michel Fourgous, president of the Montigny-le-Bretonneux agglomeration (a possible site for a new stadium), spoke of the “serious and structured” meetings. He asserted that PSG wanted a top-quality stadium and would spare no expense.

Jean-Michel Fourgous, president of the Montigny-le-Bretonneux urban community:
“I can’t say too much, but the meetings I have with them are very structured and serious.
It’s simple: they want one of the most beautiful, if not THE MOST BEAUTIFUL STADIUM IN THE WORLD.”
Who can doubt the ambition of PSG’s directors? It has to be said that they like beautiful things, they like to be the best. If PSG decides to build a stadium, there’s no doubt that it will be of the highest quality and that it will be a kind of excess. We can already imagine what it might look like, there are some very nice models out there, but Qatar will want to strike hard.
We understand that the idea of PSG continuing to play at the Parc des Princes is becoming increasingly remote, dialogue has broken down, and discussions to acquire a new site seem to be well advanced. It’s a long-term project and everything has already begun. Nothing is official, but everything could accelerate once all the details have been weighed up.
