Paris Saint-Germain, in search of a new, modern stadium, could well turn its back on Massy in favor of the 200-hectare Stellantis industrial site in Poissy (Yvelines). This option, revealed by Le Parisien, is gaining momentum as negotiations with Paris City Council on the Parc des Princes stagnate and uncertainty hangs over the Massy site, not least due to technical and administrative constraints. The choice of Poissy, in the immediate vicinity of the club’s training center, could mark a historic turning point for PSG and the Ile-de-France region.
“| PSG’s new stadium could finally be in… Poissy!
There’s a lot of uncertainty surrounding Massy, and the 200-hectare “Stellantis” site is said to be of great interest to PSG.”
PSG accelerates its transformation. With the prospect of buying the Parc des Princes receding, the Parisian club, backed by Qatar Sports Investments, is now targeting the Stellantis site in Poissy for the construction of its future 80,000-seat stadium. The car plant, the last major industrial stronghold in the Paris region, could cede almost 50 hectares to this large-scale project, offering PSG an unprecedented synergy with its brand-new training center next door.
Poissy’s location offers a number of serious advantages: direct access to the RER A, proximity to the A13 and A14 freeways, and a future service strengthened by the RER E and streetcar 13. For fans, the promise is optimal accessibility, far from the constraints of the Parc des Princes, which is landlocked and difficult to expand. While Massy remains in the running, the Poissy route now seems to be a priority for PSG, which could make its choice official in the coming months, subject to the approval of Doha and the local authorities.
