Presnel Kimpembe (29, defender), a product of the Paris Saint-Germain academy, has officially left the club to join Qatar Sports Clubs. After PSG’s announcement, the 2018 World Cup winner shared an emotional farewell message in which he thanked his teammates, the staff, the supporters, and expressed his pride in having worn Parisian colors.
Kimpembe: “I am very, very proud to have been part of the Paris Saint-Germain family”
“Hi family, it’s Presko, Parisian people, a new page is about to be written and turned. I am very, very proud to have been part of this Paris Saint-Germain family. It has been an honor for me to defend these colors for so many years. It was a battle, of course, but also a lot of joy and many successes. I’ve made so many encounters and gained a lot of values. There was a lot of respect and many things to defend: a beautiful team, a great club.”
Kimpembe: “I leave with my head full of memories, and I simply wanted to say thank you”
“I have had so many beautiful moments, so many emotions, and I simply wanted to thank the whole club. The president, the staff, my team, all the players I was able to play with, exchange with, and learn from. I also wanted to thank the supporters, because without you we are nothing. It was an honor to share these moments with you, whether at the Parc des Princes or away. I leave with my head full of memories, and I simply wanted to say thank you.”
Kimpembe: “I wish you all the very best for the future”
“I also wanted to thank PSG for Communities, I was very honored and proud to be its ambassador. I want to tell all the coaches, staff, and the children that you are magical. Keep believing in yourselves and in your dreams. I wish you all the very best for the future and, of course, I want to say that we will see each other again soon. It’s never over. I just wanted to say thank you, good luck to everyone, and see you soon.”
