Juventus striker Randal Kolo Muani (on loan from PSG) spoke to L’Equipe about Paris Saint-Germain’s 27-year-old striker Ousmane Dembélé.

Kolo Muani “Everyone has affection for him”.

“You can feel his blossoming and, above all, his determination. He doesn’t doubt for a second. I think that’s what’s changed. You’d have to ask him what he’s thinking on the pitch, but he’s become a player with incredible composure. Whether he’s playing on one side or the other, he’s impressive.

Everyone is very fond of him. The player is just like the man himself, twirling and unpredictable. You never get bored with him. I prefer the man to the player. Have you seen how strong the player is? You can’t even imagine the man.“

Not all players receive such compliments. One thing is certain: everyone agrees that Dembélé is an extraordinary person, both on and off the pitch. It’s true that this season he’s put the emphasis on determination.

He’s ready to take on the world and show that he can be the great player everyone expects him to be. Every match is a validation of the previous one, and you can sense in Dembélé that he’s been able to calibrate his mindset to something more ruthless. Scoring has become an obsession, as if he had time to make up.
