Paris Saint-Germain traveled to Le Havre this Saturday for Matchday 24 of Ligue 1 and won 1-0. Bradley Barcola, the 22-year-old Parisian striker who scored the only goal on Saturday, spoke to PSG TV after the match.
Barcola: “We played a good game, we could have scored more goals.”
“These are three important points. We knew we had to win given the results we’d had before this match. The coach emphasized that before the game. We played a good game, we could have scored more goals, but we’ll take this great victory.
My goal? I know that when Kang-In cuts inside, he can deliver that little cross. When I saw it, I thought it could happen, and then I headed it in well.”
A difficult match, but an important victory for PSG, who remain top of the league, taking a four-point lead over their main rival, RC Lens. Not everything was perfect in this match, and the capital club’s main problem remains its lack of clinical finishing.
This is a major weakness that will need to be addressed, especially with the Champions League round of 16 approaching. This Parisian team is still very dominant, but without converting these chances, the risk of defeat remains high. They will therefore need to work on this in order to do everything possible to achieve their remaining objectives for the end of the season.
