Paris Saint-Germain traveled to Le Havre this Saturday for Matchday 24 of Ligue 1 and returned with a 1-0 victory. After the match, Luis Enrique, the club’s manager, spoke to PSG TV.
Luis Enrique: “We’re happy, but we still need to improve.”
“There’s satisfaction because we deserved to win this match, but I think we deserved to score more goals. We created a lot of chances. But we suffered a bit at the end because we only had a one-goal lead. The good news is the result and the fact that we maintain our top spot in the standings, with a four-point lead, which is the first time this season. We’re happy, but we still need to improve.”
PSG wins, but doesn’t inspire confidence. As with the Champions League match against AS Monaco (2-3), despite the victory, there are still many questions surrounding this Parisian team. Too many chances for so few goals, and above all, a defensive fragility that raises concerns about the rest of the season.
Obviously, this team has quality, notably its ability to create a large number of opportunities, but its lack of clinical finishing could prove costly. Let’s hope for improvement in the upcoming matches, as they will need to be at a higher level in the Champions League Round of 16, starting on March 11th.
