On Matchday 30 of Ligue 1 2024-2025, Paris Saint-Germain beat Le Havre 2-1 at the Parc des Princes (video highlights PSG/Le Havre). The result enables Paris to defend their unbeaten record, while Le Havre continue to struggle for survival. The race for Europe remains intense.

Against Le Havre, PSG managed to hold their own and could have been more effective in securing victory. But the objective has been calmly achieved.

On the European front, the most important match of the day belonged to Monaco, who drew 0-0 with Strasbourg in a very important duel. The game was more tightly contested than expected, with neither team able to claim a satisfactory result. But that’s not too negative either.

Olympique de Marseille took full advantage of the situation with a comprehensive victory over a Montpellier side in peril (11 defeats in a row). This put them back in 2nd place, and boosted their confidence.

Lille and Nice also ensured their climb back up the table, with rather logical victories over Auxerre and Angers. Even so, it was more complicated than expected for the Nice team, who came up against a resilient Angevins side.

Lyon were the big losers in the European race, losing 2-1 at Saint-Etienne in a derby sadly marred by an incident (a projectile was thrown at an assistant referee and the match was interrupted). Even so, 3 precious points for the Stéphanois in the race to stay up.

Nantes can look back with regret on their last-gasp defeat at Rennes, having played the final third of the game with 10 men – hardly ideal before hosting PSG on Tuesday in a late match on Ligue 1’s 29th day.

For their part, Reims pulled off a fine coup with a win at Toulouse that lifted them out of 16th place, while Toulouse remain under pressure even though they still have a lead. O

Last but not least, Lens won at Brest to keep alive their hopes of qualifying for Europe at the end of the season, even if it will be very complicated.
