At the end of the day, Paris got the job done with the win. It shouldn’t be overlooked; it was an important result, and it clearly showed that success is far from guaranteed. It was a tough battle against a strong Brest side on a night when the Parisians lacked precision and inspiration.
Earlier in the weekend, Rennes pulled off a major result—cementing their strong start to the season and their place among the leaders—thanks to a goal from new signing Adrien Thomasson. This victory… A 1-0 win over Nice—a first clean sheet—should do a world of good. Conversely, Nice has plunged back into crisis following a painful season in which they only secured survival via a play-off.
