PSG will be playing late in the day for the first time in a long time and will therefore know the current standings, but they already know that the trip to Strasbourg will be difficult. They will need to quickly put aside their European emotions (and fatigue) to face a Strasbourg side that is too inconsistent but always dangerous. Especially since they have recently been revitalized following the arrival of Gary O’Neil to replace Liam Rosenior.

Beyond that, it will be interesting to see how Lens reacts after the end of their winning streak (8 in Ligue 1) due to the 3-1 defeat in Marseille last weekend. That was against Le Havre, who are still fighting to avoid relegation, primarily with a defensive strength that can be frustrating.

Right behind them, Marseille also has to digest their European campaign with a trip to Paris, but PSG will have to wait until next weekend as they face Paris FC. An opponent of a different caliber, but one they must be wary of. Even if Marseille seems to have the tools to win, they must be careful of their sometimes terrible lapses in concentration.

They should, however, take full advantage of the clash between Olympique Lyonnais and Lille, a crucial match in the race for European qualification. Lyon arrives with the confidence of recent victories, while Lille is in crisis. Both played in the Europa League on Thursday, but Lyon had the comfort of first place.

Monaco is far from that luxury, both in the Champions League and in the league. It’s high time they found solutions to avoid a slide that would become truly worrying, not to mention frustrating. Beware, Rennes is dangerous despite their 2-0 defeat against Lorient last weekend, who were clinical in front of goal. Behind them, Lorient sits in 9th place and could continue to cause an upset by following up their win against a struggling Nantes side capable of anything, but more often in trouble than shining.

It’s a similar matchup to the Toulouse-Auxerre duel, with one team looking to maintain their European qualification hopes while the other needs to eliminate glaring errors that are causing frustration and could lead to relegation to Ligue 2. Angers isn’t really aiming for European qualification; their main goal is simply to secure their place in the league. They’ll need 3 points against Metz, who have struggled to find their rhythm. They must find a way to avoid falling further behind.

Finally, there’s Nice/Brest, where every point could be crucial. A victory would provide some much-needed stability, while a defeat would be a stark reminder that relegation is still a real possibility.
