On Matchday 25 of the 2025-2026 Ligue 1 season, Paris Saint-Germain faces Monaco at the Parc des Princes this Friday at 8:45 PM CET. A special match before a week of European competition.

The matches:

PSG/Monaco is becoming a regular fixture, especially after the Champions League playoffs, which saw PSG secure a hard-fought qualification (5-4 on aggregate). Paris must also approach this Ligue 1 fixture while keeping their minds on the first leg of their Round of 16 tie against Chelsea this Wednesday (the second leg is on March 17). And it won’t be easy against this team, which has caused them problems and is still fighting for a European spot.
All the other teams are favorites in their weekend matches. Lens (2nd) hosts a struggling Metz (18th) looking to get back to winning ways, while Olympique Lyonnais (3rd) needs to bounce back against Paris FC (14th), even though Antoine Kombouaré had a successful debut against Nice last weekend. The 15th-placed team also hosts Rennes, 6th, who are on a three-game winning streak and will want to continue their run, while Nice desperately need points.
Lille, 5th, is also the favorite at home against Lorient (10th). But they will need to quickly rediscover their scoring touch to avoid a major setback against a team brimming with confidence heading into 2026. Lille snatched a last-minute victory against Nantes last weekend, but Lorient could be more solid.
The winning streak continues, as Strasbourg (8th) will hope to capitalize on a poor result for Monaco in Paris with their own trip to Auxerre (16th). A team that tends to make big mistakes despite some good moments in their play.
Next, there’s a closer match with moderate pressure on Le Havre, but the 13th-placed team has a slight cushion in the relegation battle, although they can’t afford to slip up too much. Taking points at Brest (9th) would be a welcome boost, but it will be difficult against this unpredictable side. Nantes (17th) is in more danger and will have to fight hard against Angers, a relatively comfortable 12th-placed team that will struggle to qualify for Europe.
