As it does after each round of league matches, L’Équipe has drawn up its squad list for the 20th day of Ligue 1 2024-2025, which was played over the weekend (find results and standings here). With their 2-5 victory over Brest at the Stade Francis-Le Blé, Paris Saint-Germain saw 2 of their players selected.
Ousmane Dembélé (27-year-old striker) was an obvious choice for the team, scoring a hat-trick, creating chances and defending with energy. He continues to shine and we can only hope that this will continue.
We weren’t so sure about Marquinhos (30-year-old central defender and captain), who wasn’t imperious. But he held up rather well in the face of Parisian difficulties. It’s also a sign of the defences in Ligue 1 that didn’t shine this weekend, with 6/10 being enough.
We can’t think of any other Parisian to feature in this eleven, with PSG a little too erratic, even if there were some very good moments. Vitinha (24-year-old midfielder) is a symbol, with periods of mastery and others with a little more suffering.
