As is customary after each matchday, L’Équipe has published its Team of the Week for Matchday 12 of the 2025-2026 Ligue 1 season, which took place this past weekend (find the results and standings here). Following their 3-2 victory against Olympique Lyonnais at Parc OL, Paris Saint-Germain saw two of their players selected.

The inclusion of Warren Zaïre-Emery (19-year-old midfielder) and Vitinha (25-year-old midfielder) in this Team of the Week is not entirely surprising. The former demonstrated his ability to fill in well in the specific role previously held by Achraf Hakimi (27-year-old right-back) on the right wing and even scored a goal to highlight this. The latter, as usual, dominated the midfield, notably with some superb passes, including the one that led to the opening goal. He also put in a tremendous defensive shift, exemplified by his crucial interception that led to PSG’s second goal.
Perhaps other PSG players could have been included, but it’s hard to say we’re surprised by the other selections. PSG lacked a bit of composure to create more scoring opportunities, while other players in Ligue 1 delivered some excellent performances and deserve recognition. All the better, there’s plenty of quality in the league.
