As is customary after each matchday, L’Équipe has published its Team of the Week for Matchday 16 of the 2025-2026 Ligue 1 season, which took place this past weekend. Despite their 3-2 victory against Metz at the Stade Saint-Symphorien, Paris Saint-Germain has no players selected.
It’s not a huge surprise not to find a PSG player in this Team of the Week. There were some good performances from PSG, including Ibrahim Mbaye (the 17-year-old striker). However, they lacked the collective control needed to make a real impact in Metz. The Parisians admitted they weren’t at their best.
Also, other Ligue 1 players delivered performances that deserve recognition. This is always a good sign and a reminder of the quality of this league.
