As is customary after each matchday, L’Équipe has published its Team of the Week for Matchday 21 of the 2025-2026 Ligue 1 season, which took place this past weekend. Following their 5-0 victory against Olympique de Marseille at the Parc des Princes, Paris Saint-Germain has five players selected, along with coach Luis Enrique.

Given their impressive performance against OM, it seems logical to see PSG heavily represented in this Team of the Week. This includes Nuno Mendes (23-year-old left-back), João Neves (21-year-old midfielder), Désiré Doué (20-year-old midfielder/forward), Ousmane Dembélé (28-year-old forward), and Bradley Barcola (23-year-old forward). It was even a given for Mendes and Dembélé, who particularly shone in a team already in excellent form.
Barcola wasn’t able to be “decisive,” but he created a lot of danger and had some good ideas, albeit with a touch of imprecision. Neves was impressive with his tireless work rate. Doué was more effective than in previous matches, which is encouraging, even though we know he can do even better. He wasn’t a given in this starting eleven, but it’s not a surprise either.
We could also have included Vitinha (the 25-year-old midfielder), the midfield maestro during the Classico, or the center-back pairing of Marquinhos (31) and Willian Pacho (24), who extinguished Marseille’s few remaining hopes. But we also understand that other players delivered strong performances this weekend and deserve recognition.
