As is customary after each matchday, L’Équipe has published its Team of the Week for Matchday 27 of the 2025-2026 Ligue 1 season, which took place this past weekend. Following their 4-0 victory against Nice (Nice/PSG video highlights) at the Allianz Riviera, Paris Saint-Germain has one player selected.

Nuno Mendes, the 23-year-old left-back who was deployed as a winger from the start, largely justified coach Luis Enrique’s decision to use this positioning, which has been employed on several occasions. While the Portuguese player was less involved in direct attacking runs, he created danger, converted a penalty, and provided a beautiful assist for Désiré Doué (a 20-year-old midfielder/forward). His inclusion in this Team of the Week is therefore no surprise.
It’s surprising that no other Parisian player stood out, especially considering PSG’s relatively dominant performance and comfortable lead. However, other performances deserved highlighting, such as the impressive displays of Florian Thauvin (Lens), Maghnes Akliouche (Monaco), and Joaquin Panichelli (Strasbourg), as well as Bryan Okoh’s brace (Auxerre).
