Marquinhos, the 31-year-old Paris Saint-Germain center-back and captain, spoke to CBS Sports Golzazo after PSG’s 2-0 victory over Liverpool on Tuesday at Anfield in the second leg of their 2025-2026 Champions League quarter-final (4-0 on aggregate).

Marquinhos: “There’s a desire to do even more.”

Reaching the semi-finals again, is it better or the same as last season?

I think it’s better. What we did last season gave us a lot of experience. We know what we have to do; difficulties provide experience. The team is very motivated to do even more this year.

A lot of young players at PSG?

I feel old (laughs). But coach Luis Enrique instills this philosophy in us, with the desire to always do more, to always win more. We won last season, but there is a desire to do even more.
