As part of Matchday 10 of Ligue 1, Paris Saint-Germain traveled to face FC Lorient and came away with a disappointing 1–1 draw. Speaking to PSG TV, João Neves, the 21-year-old midfielder, reflected on the result.
Neves: “We’re used to playing against this type of team”
“For me, it was a very difficult match. They defended well, and it’s always tough to play against a team that sits deep. But we’re used to playing against this type of team. Today, it’s a draw, and it’s not a good result for us. During the week, we’ll look at what we did well and what we didn’t.”
It was, of course, a frustrating evening for PSG, who had done the hardest part by opening the scoring. Away games of this kind are always tricky, especially against opponents giving everything to bring down the Parisian giant.
The major concern remains Désiré Doué’s injury, whose condition and absence length will need to be monitored closely. Aside from that, PSG must quickly refocus and bounce back with a win this Saturday at home against OGC Nice.
