Since Saturday’s draw with Nantes (1-1, Ligue 1 matchday 13), negative rumours have been piling up around Paris Saint-Germain. Not least for coach Luis Enrique, who is said to have tensions with several players. According to RMC Sport, the coach has held discussions with his squad and management.
“Luis Enrique spoke to his players yesterday on the sidelines of training. The coach is playing the appeasement card. He explained that everyone, including himself, needed to put some water in their wine.
L. Enrique has also been talking to his managers since the weekend. Both parties have agreed on one thing: we need to be more positive and move forward together.”
Nothing impossible, since discussions and exchanges take place in the life of a club as well as a group. Luis Enrique was able to talk about some recent negative moments, in interviews, decisions or results. That would make sense.
There are rumors all over the place, but nothing concrete. There’s no way of knowing for sure whether there was any particular concern. It’s just that there are tensions during the course of a season, and it’s always best to ease them.
Above all, we need to let PSG work and hope that their efficiency will soon start to improve. All it would take is a few goals and victories to get these rumours going again, until the next hiccup.
