Paris Saint-Germain secured a 4-2 victory over Manchester City this Wednesday at the Etihad Stadium, as part of the second matchday of the 2026-2027 Champions League league phase. Following the win, PSG midfielder/forward Maghnes Akliouche (24) spoke to CBS Sports Golazo.
Akliouche: “It’s the whole package.”
How did you feel during the match? Did you feel more at ease after your goal against Le Mans?
Naturally, scoring that first goal always feels good. I’ve joined a group that welcomed me very well, and I have a coach who supports me every single day. It’s the whole package—that’s why I’m feeling good right now.
Akliouche: “It’ll be a great show. We’ll be ready.”
Was it particularly important to make a statement tonight?
Yes, absolutely. We know these kinds of matches; they’re crucial for our mindset and our confidence. We were determined to step up and deliver. Another big one is coming up next week. We know people are expecting a lot from us—we have to show up.
