Unfortunately, this season has once again been a rather special one for Paris Saint-Germain’s women’s team. After another change of coach, with Fabrice Abriel replacing Jocelyn Prêcheur, and a turbulent mercato, there was the elimination in the preliminary round of the Champions League. The year was then marked by several episodes of tension between the coach and the players in particular. According to PSG Inside Actus, a replacement is expected this summer.
“It looks like the end for Fabrice Abriel…
Barring a turn of events, he will no longer be the coach of the PSG women’s team.”
PSG’s season is not all doom and gloom, with the Coupe de France final against Paris FC on May 3 and the playoff semi-final against PFC again on May 11. But we can’t forget a number of relatively disappointing matches and recurring problems with the squad. For the time being, it’s hard to imagine a calm and stable future.
Yet another change of coach is not something to look forward to, as there have been so many in recent years at PSG. The time has come to find a formula that will enable us to move forward with a real sense of direction. This applies to the coach, the management and the players.
Abriel hasn’t left yet. There’s nothing official yet. But it’s a very likely outcome.
