Jhon Duran, Aston Villa’s 21-year-old Colombian striker (contract runs until 2030), has been mentioned as a target for Paris Saint-Germain this summer. Ben Jacobs claims that the Parisian club is interested in the new English sensation. He adds that the dossier is complex and costly. Aston Villa want to keep him, but a good offer could convince them. PSG value the player at €75m, while Aston Villa want €95m.
“Confirmation: PSG are interested in Duran!
Complicated dossier, as Aston Villa want £80m. The English club prefers not to sell him unless a crazy offer is made.
PSG are open to including Kolo Muani or Asensio in the deal.
PSG’s valuation is £65m.
Ben Jacobs”
It has to be said that Duran’s last few months have been quite exceptional. Without really being the first choice, he has shown a definite talent for scoring and getting noticed. Of course, a departure will be complicated, due to his contract and the disproportionate expectations of the English club.
That said, he has a profile that could appeal to Luis Enrique, so it would be a shame not to make enquiries. Now, we’re a long way from an arrival, even if the interest suggests that PSG can pull the trigger on an offer for players, and Duran in particular, at any time.
