Having arrived from Inter Milan in the summer of 2023, Milan Skriniar, a 29-year-old defender under contract until 2028, has failed to establish himself at Paris Saint-Germain. He seems to have been asked to leave. This Tuesday, PSG Inside Actus reports that his departure this winter is a certainty, as everyone agrees on the necessity of this outcome.
“Milan Skriniar is leaving this winter. Whether it’s the club, the coach or the player, they don’t want to work together anymore. Close to leaving for Saudi Arabia at the end of the mercato, he stayed at the club because he procrastinated too much before making his decision and Al-Nassr preferred to choose Frenchman Simakan.
At present, three clubs are interested in the player: Juventus, Aston Villa and another Saudi club whose name has not yet been revealed. Real Madrid are not interested, despite what has been said before. Paris wants a transfer, not a loan…”
These statements are entirely credible, given that Skriniar seems to have no place in coach Luis Enrique’s PSG. Even though he was more interesting in his last game, he didn’t gain any playing time afterwards.
His qualities lie more in a low, compact block that doesn’t have to create chances. The opposite of the game with the Spanish coach. Be careful though, the start is far from certain.
We’ll need an option that appeals to all parties, something that wasn’t possible last summer. So let’s remain cautious before considering that Skriniar is no longer in the squad. And let’s not forget the need to have players available in case of injury.
