Semih Kiliçsoy, the 19-year-old Turkish striker under contract to Besiktas until 2028, has been mentioned as a target for Paris Saint-Germain during the 2024 summer mercato. PSG Inside Actus now claims that the player is considering a transfer this winter, having preferred to stay with his club this summer in order to grow a little further.

“According to Semih #Kılıçsoy’s entourage, the player who wanted to do one more season at #Besiktas, would finally be more inclined to leave as soon as this winter mercato.
The #PSG, #Besiktas and the player had been in negotiations since early June. Although Paris Saint-Germain and the Turkish club had almost reached an agreement, the player preferred to stay on for one more season to gain experience before playing for a big club.
A 5-year contract with a salary of around 3 million gross in the first year. Paris and the Turkish club had agreed on around 20 million + 8 million in bonuses.”
We remain cautious, as this is just a rumor and the winter mercato is still a long way off. Especially as such a rapid change of heart is surprising. There is as yet no confirmation of the deal, so it remains highly uncertain whether it will go ahead.
But it is also far from unthinkable. Kiliçsoy is a versatile young talent (he can play in the middle or on the wings) who would seem to fit in with the Parisian project. For the player, this could be a tempting destination.
However, there are still too many possible outcomes to get carried away. Let’s wait and see. The Turk could be aiming for another destination, and PSG may also have other priorities.
