Keylor Navas, the 37-year-old goalkeeper, has been let go by Paris Saint-Germain at the end of his contract on June 2024. We are now waiting to see where he will continue his career. There were several leads this summer, notably in Serie A, but no confirmation. Several media outlets are now reporting that he is closing in on Barcelona, who must compensate for the long-term injury to Marc-André Ter Stegen (32, victim of a complete rupture of the patellar tendon in his right knee).
🚨 Keylor Navas wants to join Barcelona! He would be happy to replace Ter Stegen and he would join immediately as he is a free agent.
His salary demands will NOT be an issue.

After 5 seasons with Real Madrid (2014-2019), it’s bound to be a surprising destination. Not to mention the fact that Barça have a certain rivalry with PSG, where Navas also spent 5 years (including a 2023 loan to Nottingham Forrest).
But Barcelona can count on his qualities and experience, even if he has been a little less brilliant in recent years. Not least because of back problems. Still, he could be an interesting addition in Ter Stegen’s absence.
As for Navas, it’s an opportunity that’s hard to turn down. He still doesn’t have a club and could join a fine team with the ambition of winning titles. It’s a superb final challenge.
Let’s wait and see if it’s confirmed, though, as nothing is signed yet.
