Gianluigi Donnarumma, Paris Saint-Germain’s 25-year-old goalkeeper, suffered a thigh injury on Saturday September 14 during their 3-1 win over Brest (Ligue 1 matchday 4). Fortunately, the Italian keeper was not seriously injured, as a photo published by the Parisian No.1 shows that he is back in training.
This is excellent news, as the Parisian infirmary has been filling up fast of late. Matvey Safonov (25) has performed well during Donnarumma’s absence, but the latter remains very impressive and difficult to replace.
Let’s hope we’ll see some more returns soon, and that the string of injuries will stop.
