Luis Campos arrived at Paris Saint-Germain in the summer of 2022, replacing sporting director Leonardo, but with a special role as “soccer advisor”. His track record is a regular topic of debate, and rumours of a departure returned this summer, as did those of a contract extension. Saber Desfarges asserts that the Portuguese does indeed have an extension on the table. He adds, however, that the mercato boss is not certain that he will sign the extension.
Once again, the mercato is subject to tensions. Luis Camps knows this all too well. Although he has a contract extension in his hands, his future is not set in stone. It’s logical, Campos doesn’t like to be locked in and could very well go elsewhere.
Would that be a real problem? Everyone will have to make up their own minds. However, everyone seems to be involved in the new project. It would be surprising if he didn’t stay, unless he hears the sirens elsewhere.
